Indo-Canadian adult star Sunny Leone, who is enjoying her stint in the Hindi film industry, says she leads a normal life with her husband Daniel Weber and their relationship is like any other normal married couple.

Sunny, moved to India to participate in the reality show "Bigg Boss 5" and while still being in the house, she was offered a film by Mahesh Bhatt. After coming out of the house, she bagged "Jism 2", which was directed and produced by Mahesh Bhatt's daughter Pooja. Now she is doing "Jackpot", which also features her husband.

Sunny told IANS: "We have a very normal conservative husband-wife relationship. We have an exciting life. We travel a lot, go for shooting and photo shoots... just everything we think of, we do. We are just two normal husband and wife family."

"When you are husband and wife, you are obviously dependent on each other, but we both are independent individuals. I want to be with him, help him out," she added.

She is not a party person and loves to cook.

"I don't like to party... When I am at home, I cook a lot. My husband loves to cook. Whatever he cooks, I eat. He likes to cook different things. Even I cook different things for my husband," said Sunny.

Although "Jism" was an erotic thriller, Sunny is open to other kind of roles too.

"I don't have any pre-conception. When you start saying 'no' and that 'I only want to do these kinds of roles', you suffer as an actor. Movies are fiction, not real and who cares whether the person (the character) is bold, drug dealer or whatever. We like watching movies because we like watching characters," she said.

After "Jism", Sunny almost gets "two to three scripts" everyday.

"I get script almost every single day. I am not kidding... probably I get two to three scripts every single day. I am happy reading, so if anything catches my attention, I will take a step further.

"All the characters offered to me vary from sexy to bold and some are serious as well."

She admits that "Bigg Boss" was a turning point in her career.

She said: "I think the best thing ever happened was "Bigg Boss". When I came here as Sunny Leone, people drew their own conclusions. 'Bigg Boss' got me on TV and when people saw my everyday life, when they got to know I am not jumping on tables and doing crazy things, they accepted me... and I am grateful to the show."

The actress, who is sharing screen space with veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah in "Jackpot", was nervous working with the veteran.

She said: "I was nervous to work with him. He is one of the finest actors, but he made me feel comfortable. He is a wonderful co-star to work with."

"Boom"-fame director Kaizad Gustad is wielding the megaphone for "Jackpot".

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who recently got blessed with a baby boy AbRam through surrogacy, says this Eid is special because of the little one.

Although SRK is releasing his much publicised film "Chennai Express" on Eid, Aug 9, his happiness is primarily because of his son.

"This Eid is very special as I have got a new son. That is the best production I have, everything else is secondary," Shah Rukh told IANS. He has two more children - son Aryan and daughter Suhana - with wife Gauri.

He was unable to keep roza completely this time, as he had to take painkillers every morning.

When asked about his plans for Eid, he said: "We will read the namaz and offer 'dua'. Whoever wants to read, they can come. I have told Gauri to make some biryani for everyone. Normally, I celebrate Eid and my birthday with everyone."

Talking about Rohit Shetty directed "Chennai Express"; the 47-year-old said he doesn't believe in holding a film after it is completed.

"When my film finishes, it comes out. The same thing is happening now. It is a holiday and I hope people enjoy it. We had thought of releasing it on October 11, but I had to get a surgery done, so I requested Deepika Padukone if she could give a month to the film. When we did that, we could release it on Eid," he said.

While making a film, SRK is not bogged down by any thought and added: “When I am doing a film, I don't think of anything else."

He hopes that everyone earns profit from "Chennai Express".

"I hope my film comes and whatever it is worth, it will do. I hope everyone recovers their money. I don't have any calculation. I don't even calculate how much my last film had done," he said.

Hrithik Roshan at the trailer launch of Krrish 3 said that he no longer refers to Anil Kapoor as Anil Uncle: “I have dropped the uncle; because there’s no way he can look like an uncle,” Hrithik said. He also added that he was deeply influenced by Anil Kapoor's acting style.

Addressing Anil Kapoor, Hrithik said, “Thank you… for being such an incredible influence on me as an actor. When I started off, I remember every single person who was observing me told me, ‘You are so much like Anil Kapoor.’ "

He added referring to Anil, "I was his assistant for four years while my dad was working with him, so my entire model of acting is based on him.”

However, Kapoor laughs it off, saying, “Everyone has their own style. But when Hrithik said that, I was moved. I respect him, because hardworking people have always impressed me. When they were working together for Kaho Na Pyaar Hai (2000), Rakesh would tell me, ‘Yeh bilkul tere jaisa hai (He is like you).’ But I would deny that.”

Kapoor has worked with the veteran director in several films, including Kala Bazaar (1989), Kishen Kanhaiya (1990) and Khel (1991).

Trisha urges Chennai mayor to scarp dog-pound plan

$

Southern actress Trisha Krishnan, a long-time People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India supporter, has written to Chennai Mayor Saidai Duraisamy asking him to scrap plans to roundup 30,000 dogs and confine them to pounds.

"I respectfully urge you to scrap the plan to round up as many as 30,000 dogs from the streets and imprison them in 15 new pounds in Chennai. Warehousing dogs, even if they are sick or old, for the rest of their lives is extremely cruel," said Trisha in her letter to the mayor.

"Chennai has used dog pounds in the past, and this approach failed to control either the dog population or rabies. Removing dogs from the streets leaves their territories vacant, which results in an influx of other dogs from neighbouring areas," she added.

Trisha also requested for a humanitarian way of handling this issue.

"Locking up dogs like prisoners will never end Chennai's animal overpopulation problem. I respectfully urge you to solve the problem the smart and humane way by stopping it at its source. Please focus Chennai's efforts on an aggressive animal birth control and anti-rabies programme," wrote Trisha.

Known for southern films such as "Ghilli", "Krishna" and "Samar", Trisha is currently busy shooting for Tamil action-drama "Boologam" and Telugu comedy "RUM".
