Veteran actor Krishnam Raju, known for films such as "Bullet" and "Prema Tarangalu", hopes to revive his long-delayed Telugu project "Okka Adugu" this year with his nephew Prabhas Varma, a popular actor in the industry.
"Prabhas and I will come together for this film. The script is finalised and I have also found a producer. We plan to take the film on floors this year and I might direct it as well if I don't find someone who shares my sensibilities about the film," Krishnam told IANS.
Prabhas is currently shooting for S.S. Rajamouli's Telugu magnum opus "Baahubali" with Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty.
"I'm aware that Prabhas is extremely busy with 'Baahubali'. But I'm sure he will take out time to work with me on this project. He's always been asking about working together and here's an opportunity finally," he added.
"Okka Adugu", about corruption, will be produced by Gopi Krishna Pictures.
"Okka Adugu" is a popular dialogue from Prabhas-starrer Telugu action-drama "Chatrapathi", but Raju said the title is not inspired by it.
"The title in my film refers to the step you take against corruption. It literally translates to 'one step'. I think that's that step that makes anyone a leader. It's not inspired by any of Prabhas's film dialogues," he said.
