Tamil actors Vijay Sethupathi and Jayam Ravi, ardent fans of quality cinema, participated in a flash mob dedicated to the 11th Chennai International Film Festival (CIFF), starting in the Tamil Nadu capital Thursday evening.
"Both Vijay and Ravi voluntarily came forward to participate in a flash mob. We had initially planned to do this with some local dancers for the promotion of CIFF, but when they came to know about it, they expressed their interest to participate," festival director E. Thangaraj told IANS.
The flash mob featuring Ravi and Vijay was performed Wednesday evening at the Express Avenue mall here.
The film festival, scheduled for Dec 12-19, will screen 163 films from 58 countries. It is being organised by Indo Cine Appreciation Foundation (ICAF) in association with the state government.
Bollywood actor-filmmaker Aamir Khan along with his southern counterpart Kamal Haasan will grace the inaugural ceremony of the fest.
