Indian animated series "Roll No. 21" won maximum awards at the first edition of Cartoon Network Super Toons awards organised here Sunday by kids' entertainment channel Cartoon Network.
The function was attended by over 8,000 kids and parents.
The award show for cartoons gave the little ones the opportunity to vote for their favourite characters, shows, gags and other iconic moments from Cartoon Network.
In a month long on-air, digital and on-ground (via school contact programmes and road shows) campaign, kids were asked to log onto www.cartoonnetworkindia.com and vote across categories.
"Roll No. 21" went home with three awards - CN Super Toon of the Year (Kris from the series shared it with Ben from 'Ben 10', Chatur Toon again went to Kris, Loser Villain was given to Kanishk from 'Roll No.21').
Popular cartoon shows like "Tom & Jerry", "Scooby Doo" and "Johnny Bravo" also won awards.
"Cartoon Network Super Toons gave children an interactive opportunity to not only vote for their favourite shows but also live the experience of Cartoon Network heritage at its biggest and best event yet," Krishna Desai, senior director and network head kids, South Asia, Turner International India Pvt. Ltd., said in a statement.
