Shahid Kapoor who made his Bollywood debut with Tips’ Ishq Vishq has a long-standing equation with the production house, who was responsible for his launch. Post his debut, Shahid went on to be part of other films – Fida and Kismat Konnection and now marks his return to the production house with Rajkumar Santoshi’s Phata Poster Nikhla Hero also starring Ileana D’cruz.
The actor who has been a favorite with the producers, couldn’t be happier to work with them yet again. Says Shahid Kapoor, “ Working on a Tips film will always be special to me since I did my very first film with them which turned out to be a huge success. We are working together yet again, about 10 years after my debut and Phata Poster in ways celebrates that association- From wanting to be a hero in real life – to essaying the character of one in reel life”.
Adds producer Ramesh Taurani, “Tips shares a great equation with Shahid Kapoor. He is one of the most talented actors not to mention a top-ranked performer. For Phata Poster Nikla Hero we needed an actor who would do justice to the enthusiasm the role required, a great actor, performer, dancer with a larger-than-life screen presence and Shahid fit the bill”.
Starring Shahid Kapoor and Ileana D'Cruz , Ramesh Taurani's Phata Poster Nikhla Hero directed by Rajkumar Santoshi is scheduled to release 20th September 2013.
