Bollywood actor Sunny Deol is said to be in talks to lend his heavy baritone to the voice of Hollywood star Vin Diesel's character in the Hindi dubbed version of sci-fi action film "Riddick".
"Riddick" is the third film in "The Chronicles of Riddick" series, starring Diesel as the title character. It will be released by PVR Pictures in India Sep 6 in four languages - English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Sunny has been approached for the Hindi dubbed version due to the similarity of his voice with Diesel's.
Confirming the development, an official representative of PVR Pictures said: “Yes, we have approached Sunny to dub for Vin Diesel for our upcoming release, 'Riddick'.
"He is one of the few actors most well known for his deep and commanding voice. Hence, we feel this will make for a great connect for Indian audiences. Now we are hoping it all goes well and we get to hear his voice in the movie," said the representative.
Written and directed by David Twohy, "Riddick" is said to be packed with breathtaking battle sequences. The last film of the franchise released in 2004.
