Having released in approx 1600 screens across India, Balaji Motion Pictures’ Once Upon A Time in Mumbai Dobaara took a flying start on the day of its bank holiday previews (Thursday).
Despite a delayed release in Rajasthan (on account of protests), the collections netted a record-breaking Rs. 14.2 Cr for previews.
Theatres showed strong occupancy levels (80%-90%) with Housefull status in several centres.
On Friday, the film has opened up in approx. 2500 screens (including single screens), with sustained word-of-mouth and great response in the morning and afternoon shows. Going by these trends and with no other new release on the weekend, OUATIM Dobaara is poised to continue its winning streak.
