Bollywood filmmaker Abhinay Deo, currently occupied with TV project "24", says three movies, all offering different flavours, will vie for his attention after the show. One of them will be a children's film, one a love story, and another will focus on buddies.

Deo says he is busy scripting the films even as "24", which is due to go on air on Colors. However, the filmmaker will take the movies only once the thriller concludes.

"I will be doing three feature films. I will start working on them after '24'. I am at the scripting stage for all the three films right now," Deo told IANS.

The director has earlier helmed movies like "Game" and "Delhi Belly". He says each of his new films will be strikingly different from each other as well as from any of his projects.

"All of them are not like 'Delhi Belly' or '24'. One of the films which I am doing is a buddy film. Then there is a children's film, which is meant for the entire audience even though it has children in it. The third one is a love story," he said.

For now, he awaits "24", the Indian adaptation of the superhit American TV series by the same name. It stars Anil Kapoor, Mandira Bedi and Tisca Chopra, with names like Anupam Kher, Rishi Kapoor and Boman Irani in cameos.

The show is likely to go on air in October, and its first season may have 24 episodes.

"Splitsvilla" winner and video jockey Siddharth Bhardwaj, who earned more limelight after his stint in the TV reality show "Bigg Boss 5", will act with Deana Uppal, a finalist of Britain's "Big Brother".

The duo will be seen in a movie titled "Life Non Veg", which will be shot in Jaipur.

"Vindu Dara Singh is in that film, Deana Uppal, who was a 'Big Brother' (international version of 'Bigg Boss') finalist, is also in the film," Siddharth said here Tuesday.

"Some other nice actors are also there. We will be shooting in Jaipur for a month and my character is quite good. The story revolves around me," he added.

The 25-year-old has also signed a Balaji Motion Pictures film titled "Kuku Mathur Ki Jhand Ho Gayi".

Talking about his character in the film, he said: "I play a Delhi guy and there is some nice comedy and punches," he said.

The trailer of Vishal Krishna Reddy-starrer Tamil action-drama "Pandianadu" will release in theatres Friday, along with the actor's film "Madha Gadha Raja".

"The trailer of 'Pandianadu' has been attached with 'Madha Gadha Raja'. The trailer will be released in as many as 800 theatres where the latter is releasing. It will be a double treat for Vishal's fans," said a statement.

Anjali and Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar are paired with Vishal in the Sundar C-directed "Madha Gadha Raja", while "Pandianadu", directed by Suseenthiran features Lakshmi Menon in the lead.

Vishal turns producer with "Pandianadu", while he has bought the distribution rights of "Madha Gadha Raja".

A break from a shooting schedule is always welcome, and all the more, when it's about scrumptious food! The team of "Gori Tere Pyaar Mein", which is currently in production in Bhuj, had a wonderful time gorging on authentic Gujarati food.

Director Punit Malhotra was especially in high spirits after actor Anupam Kher treated the team with the Gujarati 'thali'.

"Eventful night. The cast and crew in a hotel, great food, hundreds of puris and jalebis and bikes following us all the way back to the hotel. True to his word, Anupam Kher took us for an authentic Gujarati thali last night. Everyone has put on a few kilos," Malhotra posted on Twitter.

Bollywood actress Preity Zinta finds that Mumbai lacks adventure activities, especially like hiking sessions in Los Angeles.

"Miss the morning hikes I took with my cousin and her kids in LA. I love Mumbai, but there is very little one can do here," Preity posted on Twitter.

The actress's last release "Ishkq In Paris", which was her debut production, bombed at the box office.

Actress Huma Qureshi used to find it tough to follow a yoga routine, but now she has started enjoying her daily yoga sessions.

TV actress Delnaaz Irani, who turned 40 Wednesday, celebrated her birthday with the cast and crew of TV show "Kehta Hai Dil...Jee Le Zara" on the sets here.

Delnaaz was surprised by the arrangements. She hopes to celebrate many more birthdays on the sets of the show which went on air on Sony Entertainment Television recently.

"It's very special, I am so surprised and also embarrassed. I didn't know. I had just asked for a holiday but didn't tell anything. I don't know how it got out and I am really touched with the celebration. Thank you...whoever did this," said Delnaaz.

"I just hope we all celebrate a lot of birthdays on this set and the serial should do really well," she added.

Delnaaz's birthday plans include a small puja at home and lunch and dinner with her family.

"I think the best gift is the love of your friends and family, what else do you want? There is just a small puja at home and family lunch and dinner. I have a huge family and a lot of times we avoid our extended family. But this time we'll celebrate with all of them," Delnaaz said.

In the show, Sangeeta Ghosh and Ruslaan Mumtaaz play the lead, while Delnaaz plays Sangeeta's neighbour Dilshad.

Once a lover, never a friend - the phrase doesn't suit Bollywood's former lovers Neetu Chandra and Randeep Hooda, who have kept their friendship intact.

Neetu admits the two are still on talking terms.

"We are all professionals here. I have come to know him through my work and I am doing more work... so I have to know him, we have to talk. I think he is great actor and we are really good friends," Neetu said here at the cover launch of an interior design magazine Tuesday.

Rumour mills have been abuzz with news that Randeep is now dating Aditi Rao Hydari, who featured in "Murder 3". But Neetu is unfazed.

"Everybody has to move on in life and life is all about change, so I am very happy and confident sitting right in front of you," said the actress, who made her big screen debut with "Garam Masala" in 2005.

Neetu and Randeep, who started dating in mid-2010, reportedly parted ways in April this year.

Actress Karisma Kapoor says she never lets her celebrity status come in the way of her concentration on the upbringing of her two children.

"There is a little bit of pressure and stress being in the public eye. But that all aside, I think being a mom, family values and running my home, these are things that are very important to me and that comes first before anything else in the world," the 39-year-old said here during the photoshoot for the cover of her book, "My Yummy Mummy Guide".

The book is focussed on motherhood.

Karisma is very excited about her book and says she can't wait to dole out tips for young moms.

"Motherhood means the world to me, it's everything to me. That's why I was really excited about the book because I wanted to tell all young moms about my journey and what I really, truly believe motherhood is," Karisma said.

She has an eight-year-old daughter Samaira and three-year-old son Kiaan Kapoor, with businessman Sanjay Kapur.

Actress Neetu Chandra rues that she has not been able to release her Bhojpuri movie "Deswa" as it is "high class" for her Bihar market and "low budget" for Hindi cinema.

The film has been screened at various festivals, including the International Film Festival of India in Goa.

"I don't think the (Bhojpuri) industry is really growing. It's actually sulking right now," the actress said here Tuesday at the cover launch of an interior design magazine.

"I produced a film also in Bhojpuri, 'Deswa'. It went to eight international film festivals. It was the first Bhojpuri film to be selected in Indian Paranoma in 50 years in Goa.

"I produced that film, but trust me guys there is no market for that film. I have not been able to release it because for Bhojpuri it becomes high class and for Hindi it is very low budget," she added.

The actress, however, said her production house will continue making Hindi films based out of Bihar until a market is created for good Bhojpuri cinema.

"Bhojpuri is my mother tongue. I am proud of it. I wanted to change the face of Bhojpuri cinema because I can't connect (with it). I don't think I can produce another Bhojpuri film till the time we create a market there, but my production house is making Hindi films where the stories are going to be from Uttar Pradesh and Bihar," said Neetu.

Two of Neetu's Hindi films, "Kusar Prasad Ka Bhoot" and "Shooter", are ready for release.

Small screen actress Kirti Nagpure has bagged the lead role in the upcoming show "Desh Ki Beti Nandini".

Kirti made her TV debut with "Parichay - Nayee Zindagi Kay Sapno Ka", in which she featured with actor Samir Soni.

To be aired on Sony Entertainment Television, "Desh Ki Beti Nandini" is likely to be a show on politics as can be assumed from its promotional trailers.

Kirti will play the female protagonist in the show, a source told IANS.

The male lead of the show is yet to be finalised but if the grapevine is to be believed, seasoned actor Ravi Dubey has been roped in for it.

Actor Randeep Hooda plays a cold and violent character in the upcoming thriller "John Day". He admits he has not played such a "dark and black character" in his career so far.

"I have a dark character in the film ('John Day'). More than grey, it's black...(and it is something) that I have never played before. But I enjoyed it a lot," Randeep said in an interview here.

"I got to do the things that I can't do in real life. Thankfully, those things didn't have any repercussions in real life otherwise I would have been in jail," he added.

Directed by debutant Ahishor Solomon, "John Day" features newcomer Elena Kazan, Naseeruddin Shah and Shernaz Patel. It is releasing Sep 13.

Randeep is not worried about working with newcomers.

"I have also worked with Sunny Leone, she was also a newcomer. You get to work with so many new actors. I still remember when I was new in the industry. So I am not bothered working with newcomers," he said.

Randeep worked with Indo-Canadian porn actress Sunny Leone in "Jism 2".

The 37-year-old has earlier played negative roles in films like "Jism 2" and "Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster".

A new show titled "Raavi" about a child who is made to dress up like a boy to protect her identity, is ready to hit the small screen.

"Raavi" is the story of a girl's journey. She is brought up as Ravinder for the entire world except her family.

Scheduled to begin Sep 9, the show will air on BIG Magic.

The storyline revolves around Amrita, married to Kawaljeet. But Kawaljeet is brutally murdered by his father's step-brother.

This changes Amrita's life drastically. Then begins her journey as a mother who has to protect her family and her little girl - Raavi, whose identity has to be kept secret at all times.

Actress Rashmi Singh who has been part of "Dwarkadheesh" will be seen as Amrita while Rimi Shrivastav will essay the character of Raavi.

Newcomer Elena Kazan says her co-star Randeep Hooda's acting spirit and energy boosted her to deliver her best in the forthcoming thriller "John Day".

In the film, directed by Ahishor Solomon, Elena plays a depressed Iranian girl, who takes to alcohol, while Randeep will be seen in a cold and violent character.

"Randeep is very young, energetic and an intense actor...(his performance) forces you to step-up your own intensity to match in a scene, and I think we have created some interesting chemistry," Elena said here in an interview.

The Moscow-born Elena made her Bollywood debut with Saif Ali Khan's home production venture "Agent Vinod". "John Day" is her second Hindi project.

She says her journey has been "very surprising".

"I never thought I would ever work in films. So all this happened suddenly," Elena said.

"I was working in Kolkata. There, I visited an Australian movie set, where I was offered a Bengali movie. Then I thought why shouldn't try for Hindi films?" Elena recalled.

"So I quit my job and moved to Mumbai and started giving auditions," said the actress, who is well-versed in Russian, French, German, English, Spanish, Bengali and Hindi.

"John Day" features Naseeruddin Shah in the title role. Besides, it also features Shernaz Patel. It hits the screens Sep 13.

Filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi says work on the script of a sequel to the comedy film "Andaz Apna Apna" is on, but he is sure that he won't roll the cameras for it until he is fully satisfied with the script.

"A sequel should be worth it. I don't want to make a film just for the heck of it. I am still working on the script. When I will be completely satisfied with the script, I will make it, but nothing right now," Santoshi said.

The original 1994 film starred actor Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in the lead roles, and there are rumours that the sequel may feature Ranbir Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor as the leads.

When Santoshi was asked if he will cast the Aamir-Salman again or he is planning to cast any of the younger actors, he said: "The script will decide. I am very much in touch with Aamir and Salman."

"They are huge stars, and so their returns are also huge. But the cost of production will also increase... so if everything is justified, we will see."

Directed by Santoshi, "Andaz Apna Apna" also featured Raveena Tandon, Karisma Kapoor, Paresh Rawal and Shakti kapoor.

The Kapoors - Rishi, Neetu and their son Ranbir, and actor Anil Kapoor - took the celebrity quotient on the semi-final weekend episodes dance reality show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6" to a new high.

Anil visited the show to promote his upcoming action-thriller "24", which is also his debut TV production, while Rishi, Neetu and Ranbir were there to create a buzz for forthcoming "Besharam", which unites the trio on the big screen for the first time.

"Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6" is judged by actress Madhuri Dixit, filmmaker Karan Johar and choreographer-director Remo D'Souza.

Anil and Madhuri recreated their old romance on the sets of the show by dancing to their popular songs "Dhak dhak", "Koyal si teri boli" and "Kehdo ki tum meri ho warna".

"Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 6" is nearing its grand finale now, and there are five celebrity contestants left to fight it out for the trophy.

The top five contestants are actress Drashti Dhami, singer Shaan, dancers Lauren Gottlieb and Mukti Mohan, and "India's Got Talent" winners Sonali and Sumant.

The weekend show airs on Colors channel.

The concept of seasons is yet to work well on the Indian small screen, but actor Sachin Parikh is convinced that "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon...Ek Baar Phir", the sequel to "Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon", will surpass the original series.

Parikh, who essays a key role in the show, says that the subject and the content of this season is stronger than the past show.

"Season two of 'Iss Pyaar...' will also rock. It will go beyond the first season. The subject and content is stronger than first one," Sachin told IANS.

The first season had actors Barun Sobti and Sanaya Irani in the lead, but the new season features actors Avinash Sachdev and Shrenu Parikh in prime parts.

The new season went on air on Star Plus Aug 26.

Sachin believes people will try and connect the show with its prequel, but after a while, they will be able to relate to it.

"The moment people start watching the show, they will relate to it. Initially, they will see the show as an extension of the first season. But after a while, they will get hooked to the story line," Sachin said.

If the buzz from the sets of the show "Beta Hi Chahiye" is to be believed, its lead pair Ankit Bathla and Garima Tiwari have taken their on-screen romance off the screen.

The duo has hit it off well, and the show's unit is said to be amazed with the pace that the two have been bonding.

According to a source from the unit, Garima is friendly with all her co-stars, but especially with Ankit. They eat in the same plate between shots, and Garima adoringly addresses Ankit as "pati" off screen too!
